Gosport War Memorial Hospital is much closer, situated in Gosport town centre roughly four miles from Lee. It does not have an A&E department and is not an acute hospital. It provides outpatient clinics, minor injuries treatment, rehabilitation services, and some community-based healthcare. The Urgent Treatment Centre at Gosport War Memorial handles less serious injuries and illnesses that need attention but are not emergencies. Cuts, sprains, minor fractures, and infections are the kind of conditions dealt with here. It is an alternative to driving to QA for issues that do not require full emergency facilities.
