The nearest railway station is Fareham, approximately five miles north of Lee-on-the-Solent. This is the quickest rail route for reaching Portsmouth for work, shopping, the Historic Dockyard, or onward ferry connections to the Isle of Wight and continental Europe.

The station site has been redeveloped, and almost no trace of the line remains within the town.
